The 5 Best Smartphones For Mobile Sports Betting

The 5 Best Smartphones For Mobile Sports Betting:

What do you use your phone for these days? Media consumption? Gaming? Do you just use it for keeping in contact with people like we used to way back when? Maybe you use it for betting or maybe you don’t have a smartphone at all, but you’re wanting to pick one up for all of the above? If that’s you then look no further. I’m going to be breaking down my top 5 best smartphones for mobile sports betting, media consumption and gaming, as always with my top 5’s I’ll start with my list then I’ll move on to break each phone down and explain why it’s there. Due to America banning companies from trading with China, meaning phones from Huawei can no longer use Android, I won’t be placing any Chinese phones in my list, even though some of them have really good price to performance ratios.

  1. Google Pixel 4a 5G – £459
  2. OnePlus Nord 5G – £375
  3. Samsung Galaxy S20 FE – £599/£699
  4. Moto G 9 – £179.99
  5. iPhone SE – £399

So there’s the list of the top 5 best smartphones for mobile sports betting. it’s pretty much all budget options since I’m going to assume most people looking at this aren’t into the idea of dropping £1000+ on a flagship device and even if you were you probably wouldn’t be here anyway! I’ve also included Apple’s budget device, while I personally wouldn’t recommend an Apple product purely because I’m not a big iOS fan, I realise that a LOT of people are into that and honestly you get a whole lot of phone for £399. Time to break it down.

1. Google Pixel 4a 5G – £459

As somebody who already uses a Google Pixel 4XL but is skipping this current generation of Pixel phones PURELY because I want a flagship device, I’d easily recommend anything from Google in the smartphone department. With a Pixel device you get stock android, meaning no skins, no bloatware, just a nice smooth, fast and responsive software experience. The 4A 5G features a 90Hz 1080p screen which is like butter, as mentioned in the name it features 5G so if you’re lucky enough to live in a 5G area your connection even off wireless will be crisp.

It has  6GB of memory and a Snapdragon 765G which admittedly is a last generation processor but for £459 it’s a steal. With a Pixel device you ALWAYS get software updates first too, so any new and improved versions of android with bigger and better features will be yours on day one!

2. One Plus Nord 5G – £375

The OnePlus Nord 5G is very similarly in spec to the Pixel 4a in that it also features 5G networking, 8GB of RAM (on the model I have priced), the same Snapdragon 765G processor, a 90hz 1080p screen and pretty barebones Android experience, although it uses OnePlus Oxygen OS, it’s still pretty clean to use.

The big thing about this one for me is how fast it charges. They claim you can charge up to 70% of it’s battery in 30 minutes. So realistically you will NEVER be without your phone. The choice between this and the Pixel 4a would purely be based on whether you recommend the name OnePlus to me. I’d 100% recommend either of these budget phones, man I recommended the OnePlus Nord to a few friends and they love the thing, for £375 you’re laughing all the way to the bank!

3. Samsung Galaxy S20 FE/5G – £599/£699

The Samsung Galaxy S20 FE is probably the highest spec device I’ve listed here, it features a 120Hz 1080p display,  8GB memory, a more up to date Snapdragon 865 and 25W fast charging, so it isn’t as quick to charge as the OnePlus but you’ll never have to worry. This phone comes in 4G or 5G models, so like I said if you’re lucky enough to live in a 5G area and have a 5G contract paying the £699 would be worth it but £599 for the 4G, if you don’t have a use for 5G is a really good price for a phone this powerful.

4. Moto G 9 – £179.99

This phone is by far the weakest of the bunch and honestly it’s only here for the price, at £179 featuring android 10 if you simply want a phone to load a couple of basic apps, check your online banking, do some betting and since it’s the Google Play Store you know all the apps are pretty well vetted so you can trust the OddsTrader App and many more. This phone features a 720p display so it’s not going to look fantastic, a pretty dated Snapdragon 662 and only 4gb of ram so multitasking isn’t going to be a thing I’d recommend. It has 20W fast charging and 6000mAh battery, pairing that with such low specs you’re basically never going to be without this thing.

5. iPhone SE – £399

As I previously mentioned, this phone is only here to appeal to someone who isn’t an Android fan and this is the cheapest device Apple makes, it looks dated since it uses the exact same chassis as the iPhone 8 however, it features the same A13 Bionic chip that the iPhone 11 range has. It has a (roughly) 720p display, fast charging with quoted speeds offering “50% in 30 minutes”, 3GB ram so again, multitasking is probably a no no realistically. But again, the big selling point here is £399 for a relatively modern iOS device. I wouldn’t recommend it but if Apple is your thing then, there you go.

Well that’s my list of 5 best smartphones for mobile sports betting. Like I said if you’re after a flagship device I don’t think you’d be here, so I decided not to include them although if you want my recommendation for the best flagship of the year? It’s probably the S20+ honestly, but that’s a story for another time. All the best for 2021 folks!
